Most development formats rest on the same quiet assumption: that something is missing.

A masterclass adds knowledge. A mastermind adds solutions. Coaching adds clarity. A retreat adds focus. The format exists to supply what isn’t there yet — and you leave with something you didn’t arrive with.

What I’m building rests on the opposite assumption.

I spent fifteen years teaching, long enough to know the classical didactic triangle by heart: the teacher holds the material, the student lacks it, the format closes the gap. Transfer. Every arrow points one way.

Werktage turns each corner around. The participant doesn’t lack the material — they already have it. The work isn’t content to be delivered — it’s what holds the attention. And the facilitator isn’t a source standing above the subject — I share the very reflex I’m there to disarm.

Because for people who think deeply, the problem is rarely a deficit. It’s that the thing they’re best at has been overtrained against itself. You see something directly — before the reasoning, in one grasp — and then you distrust it, and reason it shut, until it’s defensible to others. The gift becomes the lock.

So the format adds nothing. It removes a brake.

No transfer, no build toward an insight, no summary at the end. You bring real work, and you work on it close to seven others who carry the same reflex. The measure of a good session is modest: one moment where someone let a direct perception stand, unwrapped, without first making it defensible. Seen by the others, that is enough.

It’s nearly impossible to sell that as an outcome. Which is roughly why I trust it.

Ik — 𝘙𝘰𝘯 𝘷𝘢𝘯 𝘏𝘦𝘭𝘷𝘰𝘪𝘳𝘵 — heb er geen vertrouwen in. Er is een drift gaande in de ‘tussenruimten’ — een langzame revolutie, dat zie ik. On Wednesday, March 18th, we founded NEXUS Werkstatt GmbH in Berlin.

No ceremony. No champagne. Just a signature under something that needed four years to become clear enough to exist.

Those four years weren’t about building — they were about peeling away. About doubt, frustration, starting over, and sometimes wanting to quit. Not because the idea was wrong, but because it refused to be squeezed into existing structures. NEXUS needed to make sense internally before it could take shape externally.

Why Berlin?

Because Berlin has space. Space for difference, for rough edges, for things that aren’t finished. Not everything is fixed here, and that makes it possible to create something that isn’t immediately pulled back into existing patterns.

What NEXUS is — and isn’t

• NEXUS is not an agency.

• Not a consultancy.

• Not a classic community.

It is a workshop for people who no longer fit into systems — and who keep building nonetheless.

This becomes tangible: a physical place with a barista, where people work, think, and have conversations that don’t happen anywhere else. Where the Norwegian 1926 Speedcykkel is not a product but an expression of a way of seeing and moving.

A field, not a network

We’re building something that isn’t meant for everyone.
No mass audience. No open door.

But a small group that immediately recognizes what is happening here.

Call it the one percent.
Call it high bandwidth minds.
It isn’t a network — it’s a carefully cultivated field.

Independence as a foundation

We are doing this ourselves. Including the financing.
No dependency. No external pressure. No investors steering the direction.

That makes it risky — but the risk of not doing this is greater.

We’re deliberately starting small while building the structure under NEXUS: not for scale, but for load‑bearing capacity. Quality over reach. Precision over growth.

There is still doubt — but not about the ‘if’

Doubt is still there, but no longer about whether this should happen.
Only about how big we allow it to become.

We’re not building this to grow.
We’re building it because there is no other choice.

That is exactly the environment I am looking for.

What I am starting there — NEXUS — is built for exceptions.

For people who rarely find fulfillment in conventional environments. Who read, feel, understand and anticipate faster than their surroundings. Who are not looking for validation, but for a space where their bandwidth is not treated as a problem — but as a prerequisite.

NEXUS will not be a networking club.
Not a gathering around a label.
Not a support circle for shared identity.

A few weeks ago I shared that an article of mine was published in Hoogbegaafd & Zo.

Since then, I have received multiple thoughtful and personal responses. The editorial team also informed me that they received a notable amount of positive feedback. That matters to me. Not as validation of being right, but as a signal that what is often left unspoken is, in fact, being recognized.

At the same time, something else stands out.

The field of giftedness is increasingly absorbed by a coaching industry that speaks about experience, but rarely embodies it.

There is a fundamental difference between understanding something and being it.

Between reading about it and having lived it.

If it is not your experience, it is not your truth. It is someone else’s formulation. It may be intellectually correct, but it carries no weight. No tension. No transformation.

Giftedness is not a format. Not a step-by-step model. Not a revenue stream. It is a way of perceiving that structurally alters how you relate to the world. Those who have not lived that shift can describe it — but they cannot carry it.

Perhaps that explains why some conversations truly land.

And others merely sound convincing.

You’ve probably noticed it already—the acceleration, the tightening, the increasing number of glitches in the old world. Systems that used to feel stable are wobbling, institutions are chasing coherence they can’t hold, and the people who once positioned themselves as the interpreters of reality are now just trying to keep up. What feels like chaos to most people feels strangely familiar to a different group. Mavericks recognize this moment because their system has been tracking the shift long before anything became visible.

Mavericks aren’t defined by personality traits or sensitivity thresholds. They’re defined by perceptual bandwidth. They register changes in the field before the storyline catches up, they sense movement before it appears in physical form, and they see structural shifts years before the people around them know something has changed. For a long time, this created a disconnect—feeling things that no one could confirm, seeing patterns others would dismiss, operating with a degree of clarity others misread as overthinking or imagination. Now the external world is finally catching up to what this group has been living privately for years.

Some people interpret the current volatility through fear or collapse. Mavericks don’t. They perceive it as a transition that has been building for a long time—the divergence between two perceptual realities working inside the same physical space. One is the collapsing 3D survival structure. The other is the emerging 5D autonomy structure. You can see the split in everything: in conversations, cultural narratives, decision-making, institutions, and even the emotional baseline people operate from. Two people can sit next to each other, watch the same event, and experience entirely different worlds—what many describe as Mandela-effect moments. One becomes reactive, constrained, and dependent on external authority. The other sees the deeper mechanics immediately and stays grounded, clear, and several steps ahead.

That divide became obvious during the climate hysteria years and even more so during COVID. Many people collapsed into fear, outsourcing all sense-making to external systems. Mavericks didn’t. They tracked the field instead of the fear. They saw the storyline glitches, the structural contradictions, and the psychological pressure points in real time. It wasn’t because they were smarter or resistant; it’s because their system operates on a different resolution, a different frequency—one that doesn’t rely on 3D logic to validate itself. Since then, the perceptual gap has widened to the point where trying to force both groups into a single narrative is impossible.

This gap is also why experts, therapists, coaches, and sensitivity specialists (e.g., in regards to giftedness, etc.) are increasingly ineffective for Mavericks. Most of these professionals are really just describing their own cognitive collapse while claiming to describe their clients’ struggles. Their frameworks still belong to a world that is dissolving, and they can’t support someone whose perception moves faster than the logic they’re trained to use. If you’ve ever sat across from a professional and realized you were managing the conversation, feeding them only the information you wanted them to have, or adjusting your language so they wouldn’t get overwhelmed, then you’ve already experienced the bandwidth mismatch. You weren’t “misunderstood.” You were operating at a vastly higher structural level they can’t track.

The same mismatch shows up in organizational life. Managers cling to compliance metrics and rigid systems, pretending the world is still linear and predictable. CEOs insist they run “data-driven” operations while secretly using astrologers, cycle tracking, or intuitive timing for big decisions—methods they dismiss publicly but rely on privately because the data alone no longer explains the movement of the market or the behavior of people. Mavericks recognize these contradictions immediately because they don’t divide logic and field-awareness into separate categories. They operate from a unified perception, where intuition isn’t mystical—it’s just higher-resolution pattern recognition.

Whether someone calls it a simulation, a layered reality, or a multidimensional field doesn’t matter. What matters is that Mavericks already perceive reality at a level that bypasses traditional explanations. This is why debates about free will or metaphysics often feel irrelevant or superficial. Mavericks don’t need philosophical permission to experience reality as it functions. They simply experience it, directly. And that’s also why many feel a kind of chronic under-reflection: their internal map has always existed, but the world hasn’t had the language or structure to match it.

This is the point where the shift becomes personal. The moment where you stop compensating for the 3D world and start operating from the bandwidth you naturally inhabit. The moment where you stop shrinking your perception so others feel comfortable. The moment where your system finally receives the internal operating map it has been missing—one that reflects the level you already live from rather than the level you’ve been forced to pretend you occupy.

Why I’m writing this

Lately I’ve spoken with fund people—mostly young. Not bad per se, but molded: zero questions, plenty of slogans. SDGs, “impact,” KPI theater. They change nothing. They grease the system that’s wrecking the world. LinkedIn is their stage—old world, crap. Substack is where builders live.

The line is clear

Politics won’t fix this. This isn’t a policy game but a strategic split: step out of the old game and build a parallel, working economy. Waiting raises the odds of violence; building lowers them. I choose to build.

Mass psychosis is mechanics: fear + the need to belong = slogans, censorship, blind following. The exit is individual: mental sovereignty, emotional discipline, meaning, and small networks that take responsibility. So: working systems alongside the system. I choose to build.

What that actually means

• Parallel infrastructure over policy: produce, deliver, cashflow.

• Execution over narrative.

• Small → modular → scalable.

As a gifted adult — and someone who has worked with leaders, teams, and families for decades — I’ve often found myself in spaces where the intensity of perception, emotion, and insight had no real place. Especially in therapy, these traits are easily mistaken for trauma, defiance, or imbalance.

So I wrote two books. Not to explain giftedness — but to offer clarity where there is confusion. And recognition where there is often silence.

I didn’t write this book to inspire.
I wrote it because I couldn’t carry it anymore.

Because when you see through things — systems, people, rituals, yourself —there comes a point where silence becomes betrayal.

So I wrote. First in Dutch. Now in English.

Not because I wanted a bigger audience. But because clarity deserves a voice, even beyond my own language.

This book is not a method.

It won’t help you "integrate your giftedness" or "turn intensity into leadership."

It’s not soft.
It doesn’t comfort.
But it’s honest.

My own journey of giftedness has led me to explore areas like universal consciousness and the intricate connections between ideas—an exploration that has been both enlightening and, at times, isolating.

After relocating to Norway and taking a nearly three-year sabbatical, I now feel ready to return to my profession as a senior coach.
